IMAlive (https://www.imalive.org/) is a project by the Kristin Brooks Hope Center, Write Love on Her Arms and PostSecret. This is a live online crisis network that focuses on suicide intervention, prevention, and awareness/education. This non-profit organization offers help and hope through their college and high school events, various educational programs, and through the online chat.

USA

Volunteers must be over the age of 18, though with notarized parental consent volunteers can be as young as 16. Volunteers are required to complete a minimum of 20 hours of training as well as complete a series of tests and screenings. They will be required to pay (or raise funds for) the training fee and additional support costs.

As a volunteer, you can make a positive impact on the lives of the people you help when they need it the most. This rewarding volunteer opportunities can teach you valuable life-saving skills to help others who are struggling.

Volunteers must commit to at least 4 hours a week for an entire year or 8 hours a week for 6 months

One of the things that makes this organization stand out is the fact that this is one of the only crisis intervention programs run by volunteers who are all certified in crisis intervention. This organization came out of the Kristin Brooks Hope Center, a non-profit that was created by Reese Butler after his wife committed suicide. Since this occurred, he has made it his own personal mission to help others by offering hope when they need it the most.
